Jukebox Leigh has a new and distinctive sound to his music. With a sound that pulls from the older sounds of country music but still has a bit of that modern edge to it, Jukebox is someone to keep an ear open for. I first heard about Jukebox when he joined in on a jam session held in the lobby of our hotel during the 2010 CCMAs, and I knew then that he was someone to watch for.
At that time I was given a copy of his single My Texas Funeral. Every time I listen to this song it gives me a bit of a giggle. First hearing the name, I had a completely different idea in mind. Super catchy song that has a fun sound to it. And from what I have been told the lyrics to this song do hold true, a bad hand in poker can be just like your funeral.
A couple weeks ago I was e-mailed Jukebox’s latest single, Home Again. This song is the total opposite of his pervious single. With awesome lyrics all about wanting to come home, this is a song that is easy to relate to if you have moved away from family or friends. Home Again has a bit more of a country rock flare to it, but still an awesome song!
In the next week make sure you keep your eyes open for an interview with Jukebox on K-Leigh’s Korner!
